Ali Bin Sulayem
Chief Executive Officer
Ali Bin Sulayem was appointed CEO of Hydra Properties in 2009. An accomplished professional, he joined Royal Group with extensive experience serving in Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s Private Department in various capacities as well as in senior management positions.
A Bachelor of Science in production and operations management from California State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from UAE University and a subsequent MBA from University of Sharjah, complement the hands-on experience that he garnered at the Private Department over nine years.
During his almost-decade-long service in the Sheikh’s office, Bin Sulayem worked in the Internal Audit Department, first as deputy director and then as director. In his role, he supervised internal audit projects in a wide range of fields ranging from employment and Oracle implementation to purchasing and commercial activities. He was also on the supervisory committees for the Raha Beach Hotel and Mall and the Buttain Complex projects.
His contribution was so significant that he was chosen as the preferred replacement of H.E Khalifa Al Shamissi as under-secretary of the operations department of the Private Department of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He supervised all the operations department’s activities in that capacity.
Bin Sulayem joined Royal Group after his term at the Private Department and took on the role of director of the internal audit in addition to being an active board member of Sorouh, Commercial Bank International, as well as large other number of companies in the industrial, real estate, finance and trading fields. He was also chairman of Al Rayan Investment Company.
On June 15 2009, he was appointed CEO of Hydra Properties, one of the UAE’s leading real estate development companies.

As business development director, Mohamad has both the in-depth knowledge and the skills to develop new business and lead a team to achieve results. He brings to Hydra Properties more than 10 years experience in business development, drawing on an impressive educational background.
Eng. Hamad Al Ameri
Operations Director
As Operations Director, Hamad is tasked with streamlining processes and improving efficiencies for the company - a task he is perfectly placed to shoulder, drawing on his background as an officer in the military.
Hamad holds an Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the American University of Dubai, UAE.
Hassan Ibrahim
General Counsel
Hassan provides legal counsel to a number of prestigious organisations in the UAE, and offers expertise in a number of areas, including corporate law, foreign investment, and real estate law.
He holds has taken the bar exam and holds a Bachelors of Law from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.
